New BFAB Webinar for Women Lawyers

Another Best Friends at the Bar program will be available to you soon!  I will be presenting a Practising Law Institute (PLI) webinar on March 30th at 1 to 2 PM, EST.  The program, “Overcoming the Challenges for Women Lawyer,” is described below and on the PLI registration link.

Here is what you have to look forward to:

Women lawyers face unique challenges in the law profession, and it takes a realistic approach by both women lawyers and law firm leadership to reach lasting solutions to the low retention and advancement rates for women lawyers. Expert faculty with 25 years of practice experience in private practice and public service – and the author of the Best Friends at the Bar book series for women lawyers and law firm leaders – will address the critical issues.

Topics to be addressed include: the alarmingly low retention and advancement statistics for women lawyers; a realistic look at both the opportunities and the challenges encountered by women lawyers in a still male-dominated profession; the unique values and expectations of women in the workplace and why women leave law practice; why law firms should care about the high attrition rates for women lawyers; why past retention efforts have failed and what needs to be included in a successful law firm women’s initiative; personal definitions of success as a critical element of career success; why mentors and effective leaders are critical to the success of women lawyers; effective behavior traits for successfully leading women lawyers; “to do” lists for success for women lawyers; and career transitions and the importance of staying “on ramp”.

I hope to connect with you on the PLI program and take your questions.  Register now!
