It is Good to Be Back

It is good to be back at Best Friends at the Bar after my December hiatus.  A lot has happened since the last post in early December.  I have spent time with friends and family, visited my 98 y/o mother in Wisconsin, who I am happy to report is AMAZING, and I have welcomed in 2014 with a festive holiday party.

I also am happy to report that I have been nominated for the Ms. JD “Sharing Her Passion” award, which will be announced at the Ms. JD Annual Conference at the University of Texas Law in February.  I am honored with this nomination, and, on behalf of all of my sponsors and followers, I hope that the award will come our way and help to raise the visibility of the Best Friends at the Bar project.

Late in December, I also was named to a team of consultants/career coaches to launch an exciting alumni career coaching program at a major US University.  This is a great opportunity for me to spread the word about BFAB and to broaden the reach of the program.  I will share more on this after it is formally announced by the university in the early spring.

So, it has been a very successful December, and I look forward to the new year and continuing to share information with you to enhance your careers.  I hope to meet many more of you this year and to present programs at your schools, firms and organizations.  There is no time like the present to focus on the important issues of BFAB and to get the message to women lawyers and law students across the globe.  I am counting on you to contact the program chairmen at your schools, firms and organizations to help make that happen.

Happy New Year to all!
