Respect your elders.  You are headed their way, and you will want to be respected.

This is an important message for me today as I spend time in my hometown with my aged mother.  She is a real survivor, and I hope that I can be as strong and independent at her ripe old age (she will not allow me to share the details!).  You go, Mom!

From the Air and Space Law World: We Have Touchdown!

Today Best Friends at the Bar had touchdown—not on the moon, but close.  Let me tell you about it and why it was so important.

I was on a panel sponsored by the American Bar Association Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section today.  The conference is held anually in Washington, DC and is attended by attorneys in the aviation and space law practices.  This year’s panel was designed around the Best Friends at the Bar project, and other panelists were women aviation lawyers in both the private and public sector.  The moderator was a well-known aviation litigator, and the subject of the panel was “Why it is Good Business for Law Firms to Retain Women Lawyers.”  It was a great success, and here is why.
